New Brunswick Crime prevention and reduction : Every day, law enforcement agencies work hard and take action to prevent crime and strengthen community safety. The Department of Justice and Public Safety works with police services with jurisdiction across the province to combat crime in our communities. All New Brunswickers can help keep their communities safer by reporting crimes to police and keeping an eye on their friends and neighbours. Using resources like online crime reporting tools and Alternative Response Teams allows police services to respond more quickly to non-emergency calls and frees up officers for urgent calls.
